Day 10 - Nájera - 31km

Pushed myself to my limits today, in the burning sun at 37 degrees (C). Wore my shawl to protect my neck and face against the heat, I looked like a Sheikh :) Today is the first time I've been spreading this complete and utter stench - my socks can easly be turned into bio weapons of mass descruction by the smell of them.
I met this girl who travels the Camino on horseback, and a guy who does it in a wheelchair or on a handbike. Spent the second half of my day walking with the Polish-Canadian woman I mentioned earlier. We gave eachother pep talks to get through this and make it to Nájera.
My shoulders are fine, thanks to my new backpack. My feet are off worse though, because of the new weight on my hips. And my shoes are starting to show signs of wear. Hm.
This is just terrible: I can't even get myself into this top bed anymore, that's how exhausted my legs are. After five attempts - all of which resulted in a face plant - I requested another bed closer to the ground. At the amusement of many :)
